April 2K

A beautiful sunny morning, cold enough to see my breath but the sun was warm and the light danced on the water. The water temperature was 11ºC, dangerously warm, you feel like you could stay in for ever and barely notice the onset of hypothermia. I swam twenty two lengths a seasons best and a good start for the month. It gave me a really good chance to get into my stroke and felt good. I wasn't really feeling that cold when I got out but I needed twenty minutes in the sauna to warm through.

I love the colours in this picture of Sue, she went on to do her first mile of the year. In the deep end of the pool I managed to get low enough to see some of the reflected colours from the doors.
